In the last years we have seen over 18 new churches begin without a church planter or pastor but each of these churches did eventually seek leadership out. The initial formation of these churches has been developed by lay teams we have trained and coached. A suggested reading for this effort would be "Big Dreams Small Places" by Tom Nebel. We provide assessments, a lay boot camp and and ongoing personal coaching to see new church stay missional and relevant.
If you would be interested in discussing how this can work send me at email or call me! God does want to use you and your gifts to extend His Kingdom in your community.
Example: Our last realtor (Kurt) began a church to reach the homeless disadvantaged families feeding them and ministering to them in a variety of ways. All lay led, team built and a healthy ministry in a community that hosts 16 prisons. Kurt is a man who heard God, had a passion to do something and stepped out in faith. Today there is a strong ministry to the poor because of it. Church meets on Thursday and Friday night and has small groups for connecting people.
